【活動紀錄】栽培漁業區巡守隊員交流互訪活動

栽培漁業區至2019年已邁入第6個年頭，為了解決海洋資源枯竭以及達到漁業永續，栽培漁業秉持著「以海為田」的精神，透過育苗、放流、管理以及合理捕撈，使其產生外溢效應，讓海洋能在生態與生產之間達到平衡。
而使栽培漁業區能夠穩定發展的關鍵，功不可沒的便是一群自動自發在背後守護海田的居民，也就是栽培漁業區的巡守隊員們。巡守隊員的任務是協助勸導違法與不友善的漁業行為，並確保栽培物種不會被大量且違反生態原則的捕抓，必要時也能擔任栽培漁業區的解說員，讓更多人認識這片海田。
而這份技術與知識含量極高的工作，常常需要接受各種挑戰，為了讓巡守隊員能夠不斷增進，財團法人臺灣海洋保育與漁業永續基金會(簡稱海漁基金會)，特別舉行6梯次卯澳、東澳與基翬三處栽培漁業區的交流互訪活動，活動內容規劃了栽培物種教育課程、巡守隊員技能培訓以及各栽培漁業區特色分享，海漁基金會表示此次課程著重產業面，特別安排學員參觀海膽的養殖，並安排專業學者進行物種介紹，也實際走訪當地漁港，觀察定置漁業，希望藉此讓巡守隊員們建立完整的栽培漁業產業架構。
「看到其他栽培漁業區做的那麼完善，我們也要更加油！」巡守隊員相互激勵。海漁基金會更提到，本次活動的目標除了能力的提升，也希望凝聚巡守隊員的情感，以及匯聚三處栽培漁業區的能量，共創完善海岸巡護機制。看到活動後學員的反饋，更相信栽培漁業區未來必定做得越來越好。
最後一梯次參訪於2019年11月6日結束，本次6梯次活動皆響應熱烈，場場爆滿。海漁基金會表示，期待結束後學員們能夠將活動中吸取到的經驗知識，轉化並運用到後續巡守勤務上，減少巡守隊員在巡守操作上的難度，共創漁業永續目標。
